What information do we collect?
How do we use it?
When you join one of UNET's services (Amanda's Table or KT's Club, for example) we need to know your name, e-mail address, mailing address, and credit card information. This allows us to process and maintain your subscription to our service, and notify you of any changes to your account.
When you order from us, we need to know your name, e-mail address, mailing address, and credit card information. This allows us to process and fulfill your order and to notify you of your order status.
When you sign up for our Mailing List or Information Services, we need only a name and e-mail address--which we use to send the information you requested.
When you enter a contest or other promotional program, we may ask for your name, address, and e-mail address so we can administer the contest and notify winners.
We monitor customer traffic patterns and site usage to help us develop the design and layout of our sites.
We may also occasionally notify you about important changes to services you have used.
We may also occasionally notify you of items we believe may be of interest to you. You can unsubscribed from these notices at any time.
What is UNET's
"cookie" policy?
"Cookies" are small pieces of information that are stored by your
browser on your computer's hard drive. Our cookies do not contain any personally
identifying information. User names, and session ID's are stored in cookies;
most are deleted or scrambled upon logoff. Cookies enable us to provide features
such as storing items in your shopping cart, and the ability to use our chat
servers without having to re-enter your username on every page. Cookies are also
used on our chat servers to prevent malicious hackers from hijacking your user
session. Most Web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually
change your browser to prevent that. Without cookies, you can not use most of
the interactive features on our sites (or on any sites).
Will UNET disclose the
information it collects to outside parties?
UNET does not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to others.
We may choose to do so in the future with trustworthy third parties, however; we
will notify you in advance before changing this policy, and provide the ability
to remove your name from any mailing list before it is used. Also, UNET
may provide aggregate statistics about our customers, sales, traffic patterns,
and related site information to reputable third-party vendors, but these
statistics will include no personally identifying information.
Your consent
By using our Web site, you consent to the collection and use of this information
by UNET. If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those
changes on our site so that you are always aware of what information we collect,
how we use it, and under what circumstances we disclose it.
